Our Position on Data Centers
Kingston Data Center Info is not opposed to data centers or technological development.
We recognize that data centers are an important part of modern infrastructure and support
the technology, communications, businesses, and services that people use every day.
Our concern is where and how very large data center developments are built.
Projects of this scale should be carefully planned and appropriately regulated, particularly
when they are proposed near established neighborhoods, homes, waterways, wildlife habitat, and rural communities.
We believe communities deserve meaningful public participation, transparent information,
appropriate setbacks and buffers, careful evaluation of water and energy demands,
protection from excessive noise and traffic, and thorough consideration of environmental and property impacts before major development decisions are made.
